Do I Need to Prep My House Before Cleaners Arrive?

You don’t need to deep clean before a cleaning service comes. That kind of defeats the purpose.

That said, a little prep does help things go smoother.

Helpful prep includes:

• Picking up loose clutter

• Clearing countertops if possible

• Putting away personal paperwork

• Letting us know about fragile items

You don’t need to pre-vacuum or wipe things down. We’ve had people apologize for their house being “a mess,” and honestly, that’s why we’re there.

The more access we have to surfaces, the better the final result will be.
